Writing For Money
Follow these tips for starting a freelance writing career and you will soon be writing for money. Write your first novel, a how to book, a best selling ebook or make money writing articles.
Starting A Freelance Writing Career
Before starting a freelance writing career, you must decide what you want to write. Maybe you know how to do something that lots of other people don't know how to do but would be willing to pay to learn. You could
write a how to book
about it.Or maybe you don't want to bother trying to arouse the interest of a traditional publisher. You could
write a best selling ebook
about it and share your special knowledge via the internet. If you love drama and suspense and always seem to have a hundred creative writing ideas swirling around in your head, you might be ready to
write your first novel.
Freelance Writing Markets
Perhaps you have many varied interests and you wouldn't want to write more than 2,000 words about the same topic. You could make money writing articles.Next you need guidance. Each of the aforementioned types of writing for money is governed by its own rules. Writing hardcover books is a whole different ballgame than writing an ebook. The hardest part of writing a how to book will be selling it to a publisher. The hardest part of writing an ebook is writing it. It's a fairly easy process to get it online once the book is complete.
Freelance Writing Tips
If you have specialized knowledge that you wish to market through an ebook, but you don't have time to write it; you can dictate the book and have it transcribed. You might be surprised at how much time this will save. I know from doing transcription that it takes 3-5 hours to transcribe one hour of audio. And that's if you can type at least 65 words per minute! You can easily find someone to transcribe your ebook by going to one of the freelance job boards and posting your project there. People who want to work with you will bid on the job. All you have to do is chose the bid you wish to accept.
Make Money Writing Articles
Freelance Magazine Writing for Money
Articles are the same as books in this regard: If you write magazine articles, you will probably make more money for each article you sell. That is, when you finally manage to sell one. It's an extremely competitive industry. Magazine editors can be picky. And they are. Some of them also treat their writers with... less than the utmost respect. If you choose freelance magazine writing, be prepared for frequent rejection. If you persist, I have no doubt that the day will come when you will receive an acceptance letter (or email, as the case may be). Some magazine editor will have agreed to pay $250 for your incredible piece on fluorescent light bulbs. You will shine with pride. I don't mean to burst your bubble. But as someone who has been there and done that, I feel it's only fair that I warn you. Expect a check from a print magazine when you get a check from a print magazine. Some of them will pay as promised. Many will not. If this is something that will stress you out, don't even bother trying to make money writing articles for magazines. I gave it up years ago for this very reason.
Freelance Writing Jobs Online
Web writing is a far easier way of starting a freelance writing career though it is also very competitive. If you are prolific, you will not find writing for money difficult while writing articles for websites. Web publishers and bloggers have an insatiable need for unique content. There are lots of people managing several sites at once. There are publishers who can't or don't want to write. This has created a huge market for web articles. You can make money freelance writing them. If your background is in print, web writing is a little different. People don't really "read" on the internet, they scan the text. You need to keep your paragraphs short and scannable. Web writing is more conversational than print. You don't need to adhere quite as closely to the rules of grammar.
6 Figure Freelancer Profits
This is an ebook about freelance writing opportunities which will net you enough income to kiss your day job goodbye. Now, I don't believe you can earn 6 figures writing at a 6th grade level. I think you need solid spelling (spell checkers are not perfect) and grammar skills in order to take advantage of high paying freelance writing opportunities. I also think you have to be the type of person who is comfortable expressing herself in print. Most freelancers do not make 6 figures--I do personally know a few who do. Each of these people has specialized knowledge in the field in which they write. There are many more freelance writers whose knowledge is more broad than deep and who are good researchers who make $40,000-$60,000 per year. The main thing that separates these writers from their less successful peers is that they treat freelancing like a business. That's what the author of this ebook says you must do to achieve a 6 figure income in this business and I know he's telling the truth. This book will give you all the information you need to make a comfortable living writing for money. Another thing I like about this offer is that the author is including a second, small ebook for no extra charge called Sick of the Boss Volume 1. This is a collection of stories from real people who successfully broke their dependency on a 9-5 job. Use the link above to get more information.
