Where Can I Find A Work From Home Job?

by Stressed Out ER Nurse
(Spokane, WA)

I am currently working as an ER nurse. This is very stressful physically and emotionally. I work 12 hour shifts. I'm on my feet almost the whole time which is getting to be hard on my knees and back.

My hands are beginning to crack and bleed because of the constant washing.

The hospital I work at is understaffed and the nurses are severely overworked. After 17 years, I can't take the pressure anymore.

Is there any way I could put my education and skills to use in a work from home job?

I would be willing to train for something else if I have to, but I would hate for the training I already have to go to waste.

Faith's Answer

Stressed Out ER Nurse you're in luck!

You can get a Work From Home Nurse Job and put your current training and skills to good use.

You can continue working as a nurse doing telephone triage or case management work from home.

Telephone triage would allow you to work in your home all the time. Whereas case management would involve driving to different job sites and using your home office as a base of operations.

Of course, you also have the option of training for something completely different if you would rather leave nursing altogether.

Your knowledge of medical terminology would give you an advantage if you decided to Become A Medical Transcriptionist.

MTs transcribe medical records on their home computers. They don't make as much money as registered nurses but the work is less physically demanding and the hours are shorter and more flexible.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
