Sell Stock Photography

Can You Still Make Money Selling Stock Photos?

Do you want to sell stock photography but wonder if there is still money to be made selling stock images online? With so many people selling stock photos, is the stock photography industry overcrowded?

The stock photography industry is competitive.

Over the past several years, lots of micro stock photo sites have appeared. And nearly everyone with a camera or enough money to buy one has jumped on the "let's make money selling stock photos" bandwagon.

If you think this is a reason for you to stay away from this work from home opportunity, you are out of your head.

Let's examine the situation more closely.

  • The number of new companies entering the stock photography industry suggests 1 thing to me: they see a growing market for stock images.

  • The number of amateur photographers grabbing for a piece of the action tells me that the stock photo sites have done a good job of making it possible for amateur photographers to make money selling digital stock photos.
  • Possible--not easy.

Whenever any market becomes saturated, it becomes more difficult to enter that market and succeed. Selling stock photography is no different.

Whenever there is money to be made at something, many people will be attracted to that thing and want to get involved. This is what has happened with selling stock photos. This is how it got to be so competitive.

Because of all this competition, the stock photo sites became more picky about which images they would accept. You can no longer upload just anything like you could in the old days when the industry was in its infancy and the sites just needed to fill their libraries.

Nowadays, each stock photo site has its own quality standards which photographers must meet or exceed or their images will be rejected.

There are many more stock images for sale online today.

What this means to you if you want to sell stock photos is that you will have to take and upload a lot more images in order to make good money selling stock photos online.

I Want to Sell Stock Photography
    How Much Can I Make?

That is entirely up to you. What you get out of stock photography selling depends mainly upon what you are willing to put into it.

Here is what most people do:

    1. They decide they want to sell stock photography online.

    2. They take a few shots and upload them to 1 of the stock photography agencies (this is assuming they use enough care to get the images accepted).

    3. They check their account every day to see how much they've made.

    4. They get frustrated a month later when they have not made any money.

    5. They give up, walk away and never attempt to sell stock photography again.

If this is how you plan to go about selling stock photos, take my advice:

    Don't bother.

This is a sure fire way NOT to make money.

But there are many other people making money in this competitive industry.

Photographers who approach selling stock images online as a business earn anywhere from several hundred to several thousand dollars at it each and every month.

How Do I Join This Group?

    That's simple.

    Do as they do.

People who succeed at this are committed to succeeding at it.

    1. They invest in decent camera equipment.
    2. They learn to use it well enough to take photos that will be accepted by the stock photo sites.
    3. They upload images consistently until they have built up sizable portfolios on several different stock photography sites.
    4. They are patient.

It takes time to build up an online income. The Internet might seem fast to you but, behind the scenes, it really moves very slowly.

It takes a long time for images to be found and indexed and to climb to the top of the search engines. This is not a bad thing, it is just not what most people expect.

Actually, this is good for the photographer who understands it and takes the long view. What this means is that your stock images will age well.

They will make you more money next year than they will this year.

If you are willing to accept that selling stock photography is not a get rich quick scheme but more of an early retirement plan, you can make a small fortune at this over a few short years.

The best part is that the income from selling stock photos online is largely residual. Once you have uploaded all those photos, they continue to sell for years!

Once you have built the business to the income level you desire, you can retire and the cash will keep right on flowing into your accounts.

Though I don't know why you would want to retire from something so enjoyable and so lucrative.

How Can I Learn to Sell Stock Photography the Right Way?

The best way to learn how to sell stock photography is from someone with direct experience. How to Sell Stock Photos was written by a photographer who is making money selling his stock photos each and every month.

I've just told you everything I know, but he knows all the secrets and short cuts to earning cash selling stock photos.

I want you to know that if you download the PDF and subsequently decide that it does not deliver what was promised, Clickbank will refund your money as long as you ask them within 60 days.

There is never any risk to you in purchasing a Clickbank product. I have been working with this company for more than a year now and have found them to be absolutely honest and reliable.
