You can write about something you know about that other people want to know about. And don't say you don't know anything special. We all have specialized knowledge that others would find of value. You can build pages in the middle of the night when your family is sleeping. As long as you make a consistent effort, you will make money. This is why I think it's such a great opportunity for moms that work from home. How much money can my website make? That depends on a lot of things like how much traffic it gets and how you choose to monetize that traffic. No one can predict how much a particular website will make. How much do you want it to make? I'm not being facetious. This is an important question to ask yourself before you choose a topic for your site. You want to pick a niche that has the potential to reach your income goals. SBI has research tools to help with this and great people in the private forums who have built successful sites and are nice enough to tell you how they did it. Access to these forums alone is worth the subscription price. If you subscribe, be sure to take advantage. Back to the money. I can tell you this. It's not hard to make $500 a month with a website. It isn't especially difficult to make twice that. But much larger amounts are not out of the question. Many SBIers have replaced their full time incomes and quit their jobs. But some of them have more than one website. I don't want to give you a figure and then have you be disappointed if your site doesn't make as much. I feel comfortable saying this: It is not all that unusual for people to make $3,000 - $5,000 per month from one SBI site. It doesn't happen to everyone, by any means. But it happens with great regularity--mostly to people who are very methodical about site building. I have yet to see anyone just stumble into this kind of money. It takes a well-thought-out plan. This is where SBI excels. Creating a website is a great way for moms that work from home to contribute to their household's bottom line while being available to nurture and enjoy their children.
