Google Work at Home Scams--I Mean Jobs
Google work at home schemes are some of the most obvious scams on the net. I can hardly believe any reasonable person could be taken in by one.
Obviously, my thinking is way off here because the FTC has had to step in to curb this activity. A lot of people must have been complaining for the FTC to get involved. That means a lot of people must have been ripped off by one of these scams. The reason I am surprised that so many people are being duped is because if you type "Google work at home" into a search engine what comes up will tell you it's a scam. You don't even need to click on any of the results to see this! People, Google is not selling any work from home kit. Anyone attempting to sell you such a kit is not in any way affiliated with Google. They are just using--I'm sorry--misusing Google's name. Now, that being said, you can indeed make money from home using a Google program. I'm referring to AdSense. You can even do this for free! However, it won't be all that easy. And it darn sure won't be quick. Anyone who tells you that you can earn at home quickly, easily, and without making any investment is lying. Only a fool would believe this. So what is this free work from home opportunity? It's working with the revenue sharing sites. The article,
Make Free Money at Home
goes into much more detail about how to do this than I'm going to go into here.
In a nutshell, you write articles about things people want to read about and publish them on one or more revenue sharing websites. You apply for AdSense. Google will let you know if you are approved in less than a week. Once you are approved you can put Google ads on your article pages. The revenue sharing site will then split whatever money the ads generate for the site with you. Don't scoff at this. There are people making $500-$700 per month from articles they have published in this fashion. This is residual income! This is from articles that are already published. If they continue to write, they will earn even more.
Before you start typing, you should know that it will take more than a few articles to generate this kind of income. A good rule of thumb is that each correctly written (there is a way to do this) article should generate about $1 per month in income for you. So if you want an income of $500 per month, you will need to write approximately 500 articles. How long do you think this would take you? How much would you have to like writing to write 500 articles? Of course you can make much more for your 500 articles by publishing them on
your own website
. But this requires an investment and will take much longer because you have to build traffic to the site before it will make any money. The only other Google work at home scheme I am aware of that people are using to make money is AdWords. This is the flip side of AdSense.
It's Google's pay per click advertising program. Some affiliate marketers have used AdWords to earn sizable incomes. I won't go into details because, frankly, I don't know exactly how they are doing it. I don't have the nerve to try it. PPC advertising is expensive and tricky. You can lose a lot of money when you first start doing it. I don't think this is what people looking for a work from home opportunity have in mind. The bottom line? Any Google work at home scheme that does not use AdSense or AdWords is a scam. Stay away.
